Guggelhopf
I was so excited about this recipe that i did not realised that it was quite late in the afternoon and the sun will be down soon. It is winter and by 4.30 pm, it will be dark and colder, so making bread will not be a good idea unless i am willing to stay up late. Ok, i am willing to postpone my bedtime for this bread sake. So, i gathered all the ingredients and started baking this Guggelhopf. When the dough was ready for its second proof, i was about to put it on top of the heater vent and found that the dishwasher was still warm after a load of washing. I put the moulded dough in there which was steamy warm, the second proof was done fast and i could bake it and went beddy bye at the usual time.

Christmas Jello
Each and every festival in the world has its own colors and Christmas is no different. History of the colors of Christmas enhances our knowledge of the significance of the green and red color in Christmas
Red is the color of festivity and green is soothing and signifies life. Red and green though predominant are used with other colors like white, silver and gold. It is obvious that these colors make a nice contrast and the result is very pleasing to the eyes.
Red lifts the mood besides being a warm color. It is a fact that the red is associated with all celebrations irrespective of race or religion. Christmas takes place when the whole world is bleak and dark and harsh. Red changes the look and feel of a room and it is no wonder Christmas elaborately uses red, be it in, flowers, table decorations or gifts.
Red color carries the energy of the fire feng shui element. Fire has always been a symbol of divine energy and can be both destructive and creative. Fire represents the energy of sun and life. A balanced feng shui fire element in your home will bring joy and excitement.
Having nature in the house, in the cold gloomy days of Christmas is always welcome. Evergreen fir or pine is used as Christmas tree. Life is everlasting and the hopes and wishes of the human mind are endless. Green symbolizes the continuous cycle of life, which soothes us in times of uncertainty. Mistletoe, holly, ivy all make us remember those famous lines of Shelley "If winter comes, can spring be far behind". Recharge yourself with hope with Christmas colors.
With both a warming and cooling effect, the color green denotes balance, harmony, and stability. Green is the feng shui color of renewal, fresh energy and new beginnings.Green color is very nourishing to your health, as it calms your nerves and balances your whole body by bringing healing feng shui vibrations from Mother Nature.
And, last but not least, the feng shui color of purity and innocence,WHITE is also considered one of the supreme colors in ancient Yogi traditions. This is the color of completion, ultimate wisdom and assimilation of all life lessons, White is the color that belongs to the feng shui element of Metal and its energy is crisp, clear, clean and fresh. White is the color of beginnings, as well as clear endings.

Easy Christmas Fruitcake
Fruitcakes are a staple of the holiday season and a beloved holiday treat, to those who love them. It is a preconceived notion that fruitcakes are awful and i can say it can be nasty, packed with chopped candied fruits and/or dried fruits, nuts, and spices, and drowned in spirits.

Red Velvet Cupcakes
I have known about Red Velvet Cake/Cupcakes for sometime now but hestitate to bake some cos the amount of red food coloring used in most recipes is of a considerable amount and it scares me. I was glad that i get the opportunity to make some when My friend Nellie had 2 orders for Red Velvet Cupcakes. The first order was only 4 dozens so it was quite fun to make especially she had elves (old ones) to help. The company who ordered the cupcakes wanted their logo on every cupcakes and we had to come up with a way as to how to do that.

Chiffon Sweet Potato Tarts
I love baking tarts or pies, they are great for parties or dinners as the pastry can be made ahead or the whole tart or pie can be assembled and frozen and baked fresh on the day of the party or dinner. I love to serve tarts or pie for a sit-down dinner as they can be so neatly served in individual pieces which looked so enticing. I can't stand my tarts or pies being mutilated when they are served in a party with a huge crowd, so, i will try and turn them into individual tartlets.
Below is my version of Chiffon Sweet Potato Tart turned into tartlets.

These really easy scrumptious Hors d'œuvre have a smokey earthiness that are sure to be a crowd pleaser. They surely were, they were gone before we could plate them. I was glad that i told my friend Meow to make these Hors d'œuvre instead of bringing mashed sweet potatoes for The Thanksgiving Potluck..

Lo Sam Chung Yoke/Red Cooked Belly Pork
My 'Mother Sauce' which was used to red cooked this belly pork dish has not failed to produced a dish with a full depth of flavor that was astounding. The more times i used to cook with it, the 'meatiness' of flavor or 'umami' increases and become a lot more complex.
