Rice was accepted with glee - we asians go on a syndrome if we don't have RICE - i don't know about others but me, yes.
The rice caught all the turkey drippings which made it just right, not too greasy but very flavorful. The best part is, it prevented smoking up with the high heat used to roast the turkey.
When the roasted turkey is done, remove from the oven and tent it with a piece of heavy-duty foil to allow it to rest for at least 1/2 hour before craving.
Remove the foil pan with the cooked rice from the roasting pan.
Take a rice scoop and remove all the rice from the center into a microwave safe casserole and then scrap the rest of the rice that have hardened slightly from the sides and bottom of pan. Remove the hardened rice to another microwave-safe casserole and add in more turkey stock/water to dampened the rice. Microwave on high covered until rice is fluffy again. Add the first batch of rice that has been removed earlier, then add in a heaped spoonful of Ginger and garlic sauce. Mix in the sauce thoroughly and adjust the taste with salt. Microwave it for another 2 - 3 minutes just to marry the flavors.

I've never seen turkey prepared or served this way, but it sounds delicious, Lily. I hope you are having a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
